Our Research

Duke is home to one of the country’s most innovative and productive palliative care research communities. More than 30 faculty from Medicine, Nursing, and Arts and Sciences are advancing the field of palliative care with support from the National Institutes of Health, the Department of Veterans Affairs, and state and private funding. Particular areas of strength at Duke include communication, implementation science, and medical decision-making.
